February Webmasters Meeting – Digital Accessibility

Following the Commitment and Call to Action memo (Commitment and Call to Action on Digital Accessibility,https://eoc.unc.edu/commitment-call-action-digital-accessibility/), UNC engaged The Paciello Group (TPG, paciellogroup.com) to help us improve the accessibility of our digital environment for people with disabilities.

TPG’s Sarah Horton and David Sloan are working with us to map the current state of digital accessibility strategy at UNC and to provide recommendations for improving support for digital accessibility. They have been interviewing students and staff, collecting perspective through surveys, and reviewing documentation, and are currently drafting a Digital Accessibility Roadmap Report.

In this meeting, Sarah and Dave will share some common themes and possible paths forward for UNC’s digital accessibility efforts. They also want to hear from you about what you need to be successful in supporting digital accessibility in your work.
